Statement to voters

Woodhatch and South Park has been my home for my entire life.

Full statement

I attended Dovers Green, Sandcross and then Reigate school, before going to university, and subsequently moving back.

I am very passionate about my area and want to give back to residents by serving as your councillor. I have been active in the community, most recently getting stuck in with the Woodhatch Community Orchard project (and opposing the unpopular proposed crematorium!), and will seek to be as active and visible a councillor as possible if elected.

My priorities include: -Ensuring affordable housing is provided by the council and social hosing tenants are protected (Current plans for Redhill station development include 0 affordable units & this Conservative administration have raised social rents by 7.7%!) -Bringing back youth provision to the area (the YMCA Sovereign Centre has been starved of funding; youth clubs need to be bought back to support our youth and stop ASB) -Lobbying for the establishment of a GP in the ward (there has not been one here since the Prices Lane GP closed in 2017) -Championing the community and being an accessible councillor

Currently, young people are forgotten about in the council. I would see it as my responsibility to speak for the brough's next generation and bring their priorities to the fore, while also fighting for every resident of South Park and Woodhatch.

Last year, Labour elected our first borough Councillor in 15 years, showing that we CAN WIN HERE! I would be very grateful for your support this time around.

Fresh Labour faces= Fresh ideas! Vote Labour May 2nd!
