Statement to voters
As a parent of 2 young children, I am concerned about the direction our society seems to be heading in.
Full statement
I want my children to grow up in a space where they experience love, not hate, safety not violence and unity not division. And as someone who cares deeply about our community, our environment and our planet, I want to do what I can to protect what is good and change what is wrong. So I’m standing as your Green candidate for 2 reasons. Firstly I want to give back to our community. A chance to repay for all the opportunities I’ve been blessed to receive. Everyone should have access to the same chances I’ve had. And secondly, I believe that the Green Party’s policies will genuinely help to create a fairer and kinder society for all. They provide a balance against self-interest and greed. And they will take all parts of society forward, not just the privileged few. And that’s exactly the type of place I want all children to grow up in.
