As a retired nurse practitioner with 27 years of experience in the NHS and with a passion for environmental issues I have decided to stand for what I believe in.
Full statement
The Green Party is the only party offering an alternative at a time when many people are disengaged with politics. By becoming a candidate I have the opportunity to advocate for policies that prioritise sustainability, renewable energy and environmental conservation, with a commitment to protecting the planet for future generations. My aim is to help the Green Party contest at least 60% of Runnymede Borough Council seats up for election on 2nd May. My desire is to challenge the status quo to ensure people concerned about climate change and social justice can have an effective voice. I am a local resident with both a unique perspective from the healthcare field and my concern for the future. This positions me as a compassionate and effective advocate for a greener healthier future.
