After 14 years of the Tories, people are crying out for change, including in South Devon.

The Liberal Democrats will claim they’re the ‘only ones that can win here’ but I proved them wrong. I beat them in South Hams in the Devon & Cornwall Police & Crime Commissioner elections in May. And independent polling says Labour is best placed to beat the Tories here.

I’m a proud Devonian. Public service is my passion. I’m a former diplomat at the Foreign Office and reservist in the Royal Naval Reserve. My career has taken me around the world, but I’m lucky to call Devon, my home.

South Devon has been taken for granted by the Tories for too long. I will be a vocal champion for everyone across South Devon. My priorities will be:

Tackling the cost of living crisis

Getting energy bills under control

Improving access to GPs and dentists

Cracking down on illegal sewage dumping

Building homes for local people

Securing our borders

It’s time for change. Labour is the only party with a plan to deliver it.
