Hello, I'm Liam, a Leeds lad through and through, and it has been my lifelong ambition to help the area I owe my upbringing to thrive and prosper.

Getting my education in Leeds, put me on the right path for university. This helped me appreciate the importance of the wonderful education system we have here. As your councillor education would be a top priority for me.

Previously I have mentored several young students prepare for life and all the rolls and responsibilities that go with it. Every young person should have the opportunity to release their full potential in life.

I also believe it is essential for all people in our city to feel safe and secure as they go about their daily lives. Yet in Harehills Labour have allowed crime rates to soar, and police numbers to plunge. I have previously campaigned on this and again this is a big priority for me.

As I have held jobs with various MPs in the past, I am fully aware of the responsibilities and duties that would be required of me as your councillor. Having these experiences gives me a clear understanding of what will and will not work in our great city.

I have a love of Gipton and Harehills, with its diversity of culture, interesting people, variety of food venues and being able to buy fresh produce on your doorstep. I would be honoured, given the chance, to preserve and grow this, and build on areas where Labour have failed to deliver, such as street cleaning and bringing down soaring crime rates.
