I work in the healthcare industry and I am dedicated to supporting both the NHS and private sectors, I also serve as a Parish Councillor for Longney and Epney. Community is at the heart of everything I do, from helping at school fetes and harvest festivals to assisting residents through floods and the pandemic.
I am deeply concerned by inappropriate large-scale development and this is why I am standing for election to defend local villages from unsustainable growth. With proposals for over 800 houses in Whitminster and a surge in industrial solar farms, I believe Stroud District Council is failing to protect the countryside and listen to rural voices.
As a local I understand that rural services are not geared up for young families.
I would like to work towards ensuring there are better transport and access solutions for all residents including school buses for children.
I’m committed to supporting diversity in the rural settings ensuring we reflect the communities that we live in and use the local knowledge to make a difference to the lives of residents.
