I believe it's time to put people and the environment at the heart of decision making. We need to take action to address the climate emergency, ensuring that changes are fairly to everyone.

As a local councillor I would like help improve things for people in my ward, and also contribute more widely to making improvements across Lincoln.

That means looking at local spending and making sure people are getting the support they need, and that we're supporting facilities like libraries and youth centres, to give people their own safe community spaces.

I also think it's important to look longer term, and prioritise net zero plans so Lincoln can be at the forefront of new developments and technology, rather than being left behind to deal with the consequences of inaction.

Protecting green spaces, and ensuring any development is appropriate will help preserve the character of our area, and it's important that any development includes sufficient infrastructure and facilities, to meet the needs of a growing number of residents. Alongside this we have fantastic areas for wildlife, and it's important we protect these areas and look at how we can make them even better. I'd love to make Witham a hedgehog friendly zone, and get residents involved in thinking how they can adapt their gardens and other outdoor spaces to help protect these amazing creatures.

I enjoy meeting different people, listening to their views, and working together to find solutions to problems. As deputy convener of the Green Party heritage and tourism policy working group, I've been able to use my experience in the heritage sector to help develop policies, and I'm keen to support local heritage and the arts in Lincoln as a councillor.
