It’s an honour to once again be selected as candidate for my home ward of Healey in these local elections.

Whereas some candidates in our ward have little if any connection to our area, I’ve lived here for over ten years and have spent that time serving local residents on a range of issues from financial issues, fly-tipping, planning and roads. I have also served as a school governor in the ward.

This year we have some parties looking to make this election about propaganda and political point scoring, instead of serving residents. I’m standing because this is my home, my children live here in the ward and attend local schools, we live, work and play here - like you and what happens here impacts us all directly.

I believe in hard work, responsibility and fairness and in that light, this is what you’ll get from me as your new councillor!

1. The most accessible representative you’ve ever had!
2. A voice for you, not just a lost voice in a majority party!
3. Action to protect our green spaces and demand infrastructure before development!
4. Action to keep council tax down!
5. A zero tolerance approach to anti social behaviour!
6. Support real regeneration!
7. Fix roads and infrastructure as a priority!
8. Bring fairness, transparency and respect to local government!
