Netty was born in Havant and is proud of her local roots. After university she returned to raise her children on Hayling Island and has lived there for the past 30 years. After a highly successfully international career in IT, Netty became an environmental campaigner lobbying for improved bio-diversity across Havant Borough. Netty is a small business owner and elected member of Havant Borough Council, serving as Assistant Cabinet Lead for Climate, Coastal and Open Spaces. Netty has two school age children and is head of fundraising at a local infant school.
