Hi I'm Karen Weech, the Majority candidate for Rothbury in the Northumberland County Council elections.

I live in Callaly with my husband Mark and our dog Chester. I have 3 adult sons. We run an electronics business in Northumberland. I’ve helped set up local groups like the Creatives of North Shields and gained funding so local artists and venues can thrive.
I believe in fairness and giving everyone a chance in life. I believe if politicians were more honest, our country would be better run.
Why I’m Standing
Rothbury and our surrounding villages often get ignored. We live in a beautiful part of the world, but we still need access to good schools, reliable services and safe roads. I believe that local people are not consulted enough when decisions are made by our institutions.
