Statement to voters
I’m standing as the Green Party candidate for Burnage because this is my home.

I’ve lived here since I was two, I know these streets, I know the community, and I’ve seen the changes over time. Burnage sits on some of Manchester’s busiest routes, so traffic, congestion and air pollution affect us every day. Safety matters too, whether that’s road safety or knife crime, and too often these issues are raised but not properly addressed.
Burnage is a diverse ward and that should be a strength, but it needs more investment in community cohesion so people feel connected and supported. We need to properly support our small businesses, giving them the space and backing to grow. For too long, Labour has taken areas like Burnage for granted, with the same issues coming up again and again without real change. Burnage has a Green MP, now it’s time for that change to reach the council as well.
I work in communications and serve as a Campaigns Coordinator at an executive level within the Green Party, and co-founded Greens for Palestine.
