I am a 31-year-old young candidate, and by profession I am a journalist and book writer. This is my first election, and I joined politics because I truly want to serve my community better and give residents a stronger voice.
Through my work as a journalist and writer, I have learned to listen to people, understand real-life problems, and speak up for fairness and justice. I believe our community deserves honest leadership that works for ordinary people.
Like many of you, I care deeply about the future of our neighbourhood, our families, and our young people. I believe local politics should serve the people and bring real improvements to our daily lives.
If elected, my priorities will be:
Improving local services and ensuring council resources are used fairly
Tackling anti-social behaviour and improving community safety
Supporting cleaner streets and better waste management
Standing up for affordable housing and protecting tenants
Supporting local businesses and community development
Being accessible, transparent, and accountable to residents
As a young candidate in my first election, I bring energy, fresh ideas, and dedication to serve our community. I promise to listen carefully to your concerns and work hard to make Burnage a safer, cleaner, and stronger place for everyone.
