Statement to voters

A vote for Miles Penn and the social Democratic Party on July 4th is a vote for the future, a future that prioritises the wants and needs of Britain and her people, a future that is committed to fixing the many issues that our country faces today.

Full statement

For too long the Conservative Labour duopoly have presided over state mandated decline. Be that be the privatisation and gutting of the services we need, the destruction of our industrial heartlands, or the commitment to mass immigration - against the very will of the people who’ve elected them. This has both destroyed the familial and cultural values that make our country so great, artificially lowered wages and exacerbated a pressing housing crisis.

The SDP is wedded to nationalising our services & utilities. That is to bring all public transport, water, and energy suppliers back where they belong under public ownership. The days of decreasing services, and price hikes to serve the dividend requirements of fatcats would be over. Instead they will be replaced with a new era of affordability and reliability befitting British citizens.

Deindustrialisation has not only devastated the ability of the working class to live and earn throughout the country but also left us with trade deficits and economic vulnerabilities. The SDP is committed to revitalising our manufacturing sector through robust industrial, energy, and skills training programmes. By implementing trade policies that protect and promote British industry, the SDP will secure well-paid jobs and ensure economic stability.

A strong family unit is and has always been the bedrock of a happier, more prosperous, and safer society. Unlike the other parties the SDP recognises this and has a comprehensive plan to support this through welfare, education, housing, tax, and economic policies.

Healthcare also stands to benefit from SDP reforms. While maintaining a reformed NHS free at the point of need, the SDP plans to establish a 'National Care Service' to provide comprehensive, high-quality social care across the country.

The Tory’s, and Labour before them have used mass immigration to abandon the British public. The SDP prefer to invest in our great people, training them to be the doctors, nurses, engineers, and teachers that we need for our future. Ending mass immigration will also help to repair the social contract that we as brits adhere too, fostering a safer and more cohesive society, whilst ensuring that we are paid fairly.

Finally, fixing the worsening housing crisis that affects many, myself included, is a necessity. The SDP will spearhead a series of mass building projects, ensuring a million new homes are built to provide safe and affordable housing for all British citizens and so the youth of today can start the families of tomorrow.

A vote for Miles Penn is a vote for a better future, for Bournemouth and for Britain.
