I want to see the back of this hated Tory government, but don't think Starmer's Labour will make much difference.

Starmer has watered down every one of Corbyn's manifesto commitments and promised “iron-clad fiscal responsibility” which means a continuation of 14 years of Tory austerity . But the Greens are not the radical alternative, having joined the so-called co-operative council with Labour and the Lib-Dems in Sheffield which is still voting through Tory cuts. We need a voice for working class people.

I am a Local Government housing worker and Unison trade union shop steward. I am also the chair of Sheffield Save Our NHS campaign opposing both Tory and Labour NHS privatisation plans. I am challenging Louise Haigh MP who is the shadow transport minister but did not once show support on the picket lines with the RMT rail union when their members were on strike. Unlike Louise Haigh, I have demonstrated against Israeli state terror on Gaza and call for stopping arms sales and an end to the occupation of Palestine.

If elected, I pledge to only accept the average workers’ wage, not the £91,000 MPs’ salary! I will be a Socialist MP on a Workers Wage.
