The people of Mid Bedfordshire were voiceless for years until Labour delivered change.

Labour has given our towns and villages a committed, energised and visible MP who worked to earn your trust, never took a single vote for granted, and delivered locally.

I promise to continue to be that Labour change. I will work twice as hard to deliver for you, I will put you first, and I will fight for communities that work. Communities where you can rely on local NHS services, where you can trust that new development will be in your interest, and where you aren’t in fear of rural crime, because you know that your elected representative doesn’t take your vote for granted and is committed to you.

And that’s because Bedfordshire is where I was born, grew up, and where my family rebuilt our lives after years of struggle. Through hard work, we had the opportunity to turn our lives around under a Labour government. Today, I’m a banker from a working class background with experience in the private sector financing governments, my sister is an NHS doctor, and my husband has a background in small business.

But I don’t believe in doing well for myself and forgetting about the community that got me to where I am today. That’s why I’m standing - I owe it to you to be the hardest working MP that our towns and villages have ever seen, starting immediately. I am here every single day, full time, meeting with as many of you as possible.

With Labour expected to win, it’s more important than ever that Mid Beds has an MP who belongs to the party in power and can have a meaningful voice for our towns and villages.
