Statement to voters

Emma is the Labour and Co-operative Candidate for the newly created Cramlington and Killingworth seat at the next election.

Full statement

She was born and brought up here, and started out working for North East Ambulance Service as a 999 Call Handler.

Since 2011 Emma has worked on various campaigns focused on improving the lives of working people. After a lack of local employment opportunities, Emma moved to the Midlands where she worked with the police and was responsible for overseeing services for survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence, as well as volunteering as a Magistrate and a Vaccinator during the pandemic.

Moving back home after Covid, Emma now lives locally and is a First Responder with the ambulance service, as well as a school governor for a local Primary School. After 14 years of Conservative government, she is determined to ensure a fresh start for every one of our towns, villages and settlements.
