It made me who I am. That's why I'm standing to give something back as Stockton West's Labour MP. I grew up in Eaglescliffe, attending Junction Farm Primary and Egglescliffe Comprehensive. My dad was a chemical engineer at Seal Sands and my mum was a stroke nurse in our NHS. I have serious experience in government and in business. I helped deliver the first National Minimum Wage, served at the heart of the last Labour government and worked for Seb Coe on Britain's successful Olympic Games in 2012. I've been self-employed and working with Teesside since 2015 to secure millions of pounds worth of investment in good jobs and innovation. I live in Yarm and I wouldn't want to be an MP anywhere else. The Conservatives are no longer able to offer a serious government. I'm asking you to give change a chance with Labour.
