Generations of my family have lived in Somerset. I was raised here and this is where I will raise my children. For far too long our communities have been neglected and ignored.

In 2010 the Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition Government gave us austerity; a political choice that caused huge damage locally and nationally. This damage has continued to this day. Now, 14 years later, we have seen the decimation of local transport, health and social care provision and education. Inequality is rising and costs are soaring. It does not have to be like this. As a teacher I have seen this decline first-hand and that's why I am standing to be your next MP.

Labour's missions for a better Britain will transform our communities for everyone. I am proud to be campaigning on these transformative plans, to support our rural economy and bring back fairness and opportunity for all. Our areas of Devon and Somerset deserve to have a strong voice in a transformative Labour government. Someone who will truly work for them. I promise that I will listen to you, stand up for you and be a hard working, visible and easy to contact MP....after all an MP is for the whole of the year not just General Elections.
