Statement to voters
Having worked as an NHS psychologist for over 20 years, 12 of which were in the south of Northamptonshire, I've seen first hand how lives are increasingly crumbling in parallel with the crumbling of our public services and environment.

I'm passionate about us having robust, nationally-owned public services and infrastructure. I believe our measure of success should be the wellbeing of our people and environment, and not just growth at any cost. In South Northamptonshire, the latter is exemplified by the massive development of warehouses. These are trashing our precious countryside, trees, and the lives of some people, while offering employment that often has poor working conditions and pay. I live in a rural Northamptonshire village and love the countryside and nature. I'm very worried about the climate and ecological crisis, and how the prevailing economic model is worsening this and making the rich richer while the majority become poorer. This has motivated me to stand in the general election for the Green Party. It is the only party to have the vision and transformative policies to build a more sustainable future that is much more equal, and also respectful of our beautiful planet.
