Statement to voters

I'm a recent graduate student, working in the hospitality sector.

Full statement

At 21 I'm one of the youngest candidates standing in the general election.

I've been active with student groups, supporting causes such as Palestine Solidarity and local food banks in the fight against food poverty.

Why I'm standing:

I want to offer an alternative for people fed up with the failures of the major parties. I will be the only candidate putting forward a socialist message.

I will champion public ownership. The privatisation of our public services has been a disaster. We need to bring the railways, water, energy, and Royal Mail back into public ownership and democratic control. We need to put an end to the privatisation of our NHS, and to properly invest in it.

Housing needs serious investment. Britain has the highest rate of homelessness in the developed world. We need a mass campaign of council housing, as well as controls on rent. There must be affordable housing for all.
