I too, am more disaffected voter than personally ambitious politician. I haven’t followed a political career path. I see that as a strength not a weakness.

I have high professional standards after 35 years’ representing individuals, companies and charities. I want to use my advocacy, negotiating and problem-solving skills to improve things for Tonbridge constituents.

My reasons for standing are my passion for the environment, anger at the toxic political climate, scandals and incompetence of this government and to be a credible alternative for disenchanted voters.

I care deeply about climate change and the future for the next generation, but I also believe the green agenda is a significant economic opportunity at the heart of the Lib Dem industrial strategy to invest in infrastructure, innovation and skills to create prosperity.

I worry about the growth of inequality and polarisation. As leaders of both Tories and Labour try to control extreme elements in their parties, I want to champion Liberal Democrat values and the fact we are a unified, centrist party with no such divisive elements in the wings.

My mission is to bring honesty and a higher level of rigour and competence to politics both in Tonbridge and in Westminster and to campaign tirelessly for the concerns and aspirations of voters in the Tonbridge constituency.
