Statement to voters
I moved to East Devon over 30 years ago, I love it here!! I have raised my 3 daughters, owned and run two health food businesses and worked in and for the community with enduring commitment.

Instead of putting up and shutting up, I have chosen to stand up and represent our community, I feel that strongly about it and determined to advocate change. Do you want to be governed by party politics? I certainly do not. The present party politics and first past the post system is extremely limited in choice. It creates an "us against them" mentality from the start, dividing us merely by the party we may choose to vote for. Having a direct knock on effect into our communities and our lives. It can even divide families!! How's that working out for you? What pain is it causing you? What changes would you like to experience? Voting Independent has great value. There are around 400 independent candidates standing in this election all over the UK. An independent MP gives you a voice in government that truly represents the community needs. An Independent MP is free to act on your behalf, free to speak on your behalf removed from the party line and from corporate influence. Imagine what 400 independent MPs could do for change in Parliament?? It would give us the people a majority voice!!! This could well be the change we have all been looking and waiting for, bottom up governance rather than top down. I am standing as an Independent for our Independence, will you have the courage to stand with me?
