I am standing as a independent candidate that helped the Alba Party establish a number of party policies including "Men Must Support Equality" and "Empowering Parents and Protecting Children".

I grew up in Edinburgh West went to both Gylemuir Primary and Craigmount Secondary schools. Have been a DJ, Pub Landlord, TV Producer and business man. Now at 58 years old I am also a carer for my mum who lost her husband at the beginning of the 2020 pandemic and lives in Fife. So I have plenty of experience of healthcare, social care and everything else that can happen.

Edinburgh West has been run by the Lib Dems for over a decade and nothing has improved. I support women's equality and will support a change to the Equality Act so that is clearly define that the protected characteristic of "Sex" means biological sex and no other definition. I even made a speech about it just over a year ago. I also wrote the Alba policy on parents rights. I fully support that parents must be consulted and give their informed consent before schools and education authorities teach young children controversial subjects such as sex education.

I have already planned a Private Members Bill to change the law on energy regulation to prevent above inflation energy bill rises, it will also require the regulator to reverse the price rises and get energy companies to refund the excessive charges. The Conservative government gave tax payers money to energy companies to help cover the over inflated energy bills. This was a mistake and households are still paying for it. Small businesses are suffering and jobs are at risk, so this must be addressed urgently.

As an independent MP I will only be answerable to my constituents not subject to political party whips. It is a much more honest form of democracy. Lets face it voting for any of the big UK parties has not improved people way of life. However one of the main reasons I am standing is to see the Lib Dem candidate removed from office. Women's rights are not safe in her hands. The Lib Dem leader is on record confirming that a woman can have a penis. This is simply not true but is does show how captured the Lib Dems are. The Post Office Scandal has also exposed a shocking fact. The current Lib Dem leader earned £275,000 by being a consultant to the Post Office lawyers. This was after he was no longer the UK Postal Minister. I can't stand injustice so if I am elected I will help remove at least one political rotten apple.

I will work constructively with other parties and politicians to help Scotland's future. I fully support Scotland being a modern European independent democracy. So I will support my constituents right to have a democratic vote on Scotland's independence.
