My motivation to stand as an MP comes from my desire to tackle the mental health crisis. For years I have read stories about the tragic suicides of young people, driven to despair by exam pressures or extreme bullying. I would be a role model for young people and would prove to children that even if you are disabled and fail your exams, there is always hope.

When I was at primary school, I wore a helmet and fell over often, I was not expected to achieve much in life and in high school I continued to struggle. But after high school, I went to college and learnt software engineering. After college, I travelled to India and China where I sponsored orphanages and Tibetan refugees. Children must understand that career is not the meaning of life and that there is so much more.

I have policies in 8 areas focused on the environment and education, I have also made promises to improve local transport.

My experience and knowledge will help me to greatly improve the teaching of computing and tackle the abuse suffered by teachers, I will also recommend standards in online safety which I believe social media companies should comply with.

Other policies include tackling the problem of invasive species, cleaning British territorial waters, a scheme to wipe off student tuition debt, a 121 child protection service and ending the war in Ukraine.

The abuse suffered by teachers, especially learning support teachers, is personal to me. Learning support teachers accompanied me throughout my school years and I remember the care and support they gave to me, the thought of these teachers receiving abuse makes me sad. The war in Ukraine is also personal to me, I am perhaps the only candidate who has visited Ukraine and I will ask the questions that no one else will to end this war.

This early election gives me an opportunity to get to work straight away. I am confident that I will win friends and influence people and I will achieve many of my objectives.
