She is a strong community advocate and runs a pop-up coffee shop and women's circles at a local community centre to allow people to have a safe space to meet and chat. Born in Leeds, Kerry gained a degree at Bretton Hall College of the University of Leeds. She moved to the East Riding in 2016 and has immersed herself in the area through networking as well as grassroots sports, as her children play for local football and rugby teams. "As a self-employed parent with a young family, I am acutely aware of the issues that the regular person is encountering in the current climate. I am lucky that I can see where solutions can be achieved in my own circumstances, but I know that this isn't the case for everyone. I strongly feel that there is a need for community building to support and empower people at grassroots level. And we can look out for each other within that community, and outside of it. Building this now can benefit our generation and those to come. "I am unafraid to be an advocate for the people who need it the most and for the planet. Doing so with honesty and integrity."
