Personal Statement I firmly believe that there are not enough MPs prepared to represent the voice of the people above political party agendas.

As the MP for Torfaen I will be an outspoken advocate who would represent the voice of the people and not the power seeking directives of any political party.

I would pledge to - [ ] establish an MP office that actively canvasses the constituents when voting in parliament and act independent of political party directives

I personally support the following, however, in performing the office, the voice of the people will override my personal views. - [ ] a taxation regime that focuses on helping those on lower earnings - [ ] an increased investment in our national health services - [ ] clean modern energy owned by the people - [ ] a publicly owned transport system - [ ] reducing the personal cost of university education - [ ] an immigration policy that prioritises the safety and security of the country while also being compassionate and fair to immigrants.

I would further support - [ ] a proportional representation system that leads to a diverse and collaborative parliament - [ ] a personal commitment to local charity with donations from any personal allowance for undertaking the office equating to a minimum amount of 15% which is equivalent to MP pays rise since 2019.
