Statement to voters

I belong to You! As a seasoned A&E consultant doctor and Yoga teacher I have had the opportunities to lead and train multidisciplinary teams in my clinical career, disaster health, trauma care, communication skills and yoga events.

Leadership and Experience:

1. My journey began with Indian Army's medical training, where leadership and camaraderie got instilled in me.

2. This foundation was further enriched through experiences within diverse clinical teams across Australia, India and the UK along with experiential trainings by Art of Living, TLEXinstitute at Geneva and SriSri Yoga, leading to blossoming of virtues such as faith, surrender, interdependence, unlearning, appreciation, love, gratitude and belongingness.

3. Currently I am working on a new leadership framework called 'iLeadership' to complement and provide completeness to existing models of leadership so as to be able to deliver our expectations.

Key Achievements and Contributions:

1. Integrated Emergency Care Models: Proposed to the UK government.

2. Pandemic Recommendations: Submitted to the House of Lords.

3. Work, Learn and Return Programme: For capacity building of A&E departments by Health Education England and Royal College of Emergency Medicine.

4. Reverse Mentoring: Guided senior NHS colleagues.

5. Authorship: Contributed chapter on chest pain to the RCEM textbook.

Capacity Building and Disaster Management:

1. Developed strategies for Medical Preparedness, Mass Casualty Management, and Biological Disaster Management during and after the H1N1 pandemic along with 'Management of the Dead in the aftermath of Disasters' while serving for the Office of Prime Minister of Government of India.

2. Played significant roles during the 1994 Plague outbreak and 2008 Bihar floods in India.

3. Spearheaded the development of a new resuscitation area and patient flow plans at Darlington Memorial Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic, meeting deadlines as the Covid Lead.

4. Conceptualised, coordinated and commissioned emergency ultrasound courses across various NHS trusts with support of international faculty.

Well-being Programs and Concepts:

1. Designed and delivered experiential well-being programs for over 500 NHS staff members, leveraging skills and knowledge from 500 hours of Yoga training.

2. Conceptualised, commissioned and successfully running a 360 degree online peer-support care group for NHS doctors known as 'Yogi Doctors' which is complemented by our YouTube channel entitled 'Serene Doctors'.

Awards:

1. 'Best medical team in crisis zone' by BMJ at global awards ceremony in London to my team Doctors for You with other finalists being Medicins Sans Frontiers (MSF) and Save the Children.

2. 'Certificate of Excellence' by I Want Great Care for three years in a row.

Innovative Solutions:

With a penchant for taking risks and stepping beyond comfort zones, I am adept at providing simple solutions to complex problems through innovative service measures and bespoke experiential training and awareness techniques, all delivered with joy and enthusiasm.

1. Hospital at Home service in ‘all specialties’ for Stockton West

2. More GP and dental surgeries for Yarm

3. Funding to recruit more NHS staff in primary and secondary care

Schools

1. Grammar school for Stockton West

2. Funds for recruiting more staff in primary and secondary schools

3. VAT exemption on fees of private schools

Roads and Transportation

1. Pothole-free roads to enhance safety, business and tourism

2. Half-flyover for railway bridge of Yarm

3. Upgrade Yarm train station with direct connection to London

Climate, Housing and Sanitation

1. Restore sewage free rivers and more tree plantation drives

2. Drainage and sanitation regulations for all constructions

3. Support with snagging and stamp duty for first time buyers

Subsidise/Fund

1. Sports, fitness, leisure centres, yoga studios and airbnb’s for enhancing health and tourism

2. Prison SMART programme for reforms and rehabilitation of prisoners

3. Reverse mentoring in artificial intelligence (AI) by youth for 50+ age group to retain experience in the employment and create bonding and respect between youth and seniors.

4. Experiential Workshops for situation judgement enhancing kindness, agility, harmony, productivity and belongingness

Miscellaneous

1. Healing, Resilience and Empowerment workshops for refugees

2. Tackle food insecurity by stopping daily wastage with smart apps and AI

3. Ministry of Fraud to prevent AI induced scam epidemic in future

4. Expedite ongoing health, business and other development plans

5. Invite innovative industries manufacturing air-taxis, air-boats etc

6. Make Stockton-on-Tees the model township again!
