He served as an Independent councillor for the ward from 2008 to 2012 and remains active in the community, using his experience to address local issues and help local people. Known for speaking directly on important matters, Ahmed is committed to representing local interests. His key goals include banning future HMOs, enforcing zero tolerance for anti-social behaviour, improving adult social care and children's services, ending excessive salaries, scrapping town centre parking charges, revitalising the town centre, promoting tourism, and increasing council spending with local businesses.
