Full statement

She is a member of the USDAW trade union.

Pamela Holmes says: "Workers need a party of labour, a party independent of the bosses. A party based on the unions that defends the interests of all working people – in the UK and worldwide." Pamela's working-class course:

• Build, strengthen trade unions. Forge solidarity. For pay and conditions that prevent families in working class being torn apart.

• Fight Jew-hatred. Defend Israel's right to exist. Back Ukraine people's fight for independence.

• Protect democratic freedoms. Oppose 'cancel culture'.

Pamela Holmes says: "Which class rules is the central question facing workers everywhere. The capitalist rulers have wrought devastation and are marching to war. Working people in Cuba have shown that the workers need to forge our own political instrument to lead the revolutionary struggle for power." Pamela and her supporters have taken the Communist League campaign to ASDA supermarket workers on strike in Lowestoft; to CNH tractor workers on strike in Basildon; to protests against the 7 October Hamas pogrom and for the return of the hostages; in defence of Ukraine independence; to farmers demanding prices that meet their production costs. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Pamela Holmes is available for interview. In face of the capitalist rulers' devastation and march to war … it's not who you're against but what you're for!
