Statement to voters

Why am I standing? Every year in the UK we intentionally kill around 250,000 unborn babies in the womb.

Full statement

In fact since abortion was first legalised in 1967 we have killed a staggering 10 million babies in the womb, that's the whole population of London. Most recent figures show that abortions increased 17% last year! None of the major political parties have set out any plans to address this injustice and some have laid out clear plans to make it worse!

God hates the shedding of innocent blood and He is calling his church to intervene (Proverbs 24:11-12).

How has abortion got this bad?

Put simply it’s got this bad not because every one is evil (in fact many women feel forced into abortion against their will) but because unborn babies have been deliberately dehumanised by the abortion industry. When a baby isn't wanted it stops being a baby but suddenly becomes a ‘fetus’ or a ‘pregnancy’. This is an inconsistency that needs to be addressed with truth and love and what better time to address it than in electoral season.

What I am doing to fix it?

There is no easy solution to the genocide of abortion, however a good starting point is simply re-humanising the baby. By standing as an independent candidate I will have an opportunity to do just this by getting this image into tens of thousands of homes in our constituency.

As a local MP- I will ensure regular surgeries with the constituency being paramount. I will listen and address the needs of the people of South Dorset, who by electing me would have made clear the mandate to represent them starting with a people first approach to how we do things, starting with protecting life in the womb.

Bio. Joy Wilson is married with three grown up children living in rural Dorset. After a long career in the voluntary sector working with older people in London, she now spends her time as a carer to her elderly mother. After being exposed to horror stories and despair of women after abortion, she now campaigns for a change in the law to protect them and the precious little children. She is also passionate about restoring Christian morality and values back to the core of the nation as the foundation for a just society, valuing everyone and tackling societal issues. She can be found out on the local streets at least twice a month sharing the Gospel bringing hope back to people in these times.
