Statement to voters

The Conservatives have controlled the County Council since 2017.

Full statement

The Liberal Democrats have controlled the District Council since 2019.
Has Cirencester got better for you since then?

I am different from other candidates - I am already working to push the Labour government for the changes that benefit Cirencester and I will continue to do so after the election. These include:

-> Raising living standards for the people of Cirencester. We need better local services and more opportunities for well-paid work - I have identified ways that will help the proposed Innovation Village at the Royal Agricultural University become a reality, faster.

-> Cirencester families need more REALLY affordable housing to rent or buy. I am working locally to find small-scale sites instead of large-scale sites full of £1m+ homes where affordable and social housing is a hidden-away afterthought.

->Bring the Pothole Machines back to Cirencester. The Labour government has just given £1.6bn of extra pothole funding to County Councils. Pothole Machines can fix roads faster and the County Council trialled them here last year - I am working to bring them back.

>>> If you want any of these to happen faster - vote FARMER in the upcoming election.
