Full statement
The Liberal Democrats have controlled the District Council since 2019. The Conservatives have controlled the County Council since 2017. Has Chesterton got better for you since then? Do you feel heard?
Some residents feel let down on issues like noise, poor housing conditions and mold. Others on potholes, parking and traffic. With the sudden resignation of your local Councillor, it is time for change.
Labour Councillors have a voice beyond their local council. Labour is driving national change. Labour listens to Labour Councillors and I will listen to you, no matter what party you support - because as a local businessman I believe in 'Country First, Party Second'.
If elected, I will spend my time: - Listening to every Chesterton resident that wants to be heard - Pushing the Labour Party for more changes that benefit Chesterton residents - Challenging our District Council and County Council to stop the finger pointing. Councils need to accept responsibility and be accountable to Chesterton residents - I will make this happen
