My name is Linda Dunstone and I am standing as Labour councillor for Torpoint in the forthcoming elections on the 1st of May, 2025.

I feel very fortunate to have lived and worked here on the beautiful Rame Peninsula for the past 45 years. During my career I have worked at Antony, Millbrook and Fourlanesend Primary Schools, taught at Torpoint Link to Learning and have over the years forged strong ties with Torpoint. I was recently asked to design and help facilitate the Pentorr Health centre Wellbeing garden and won an NHS award for the garden design. Over the past 40 years I have been an active volunteer for various local community projects including fundraising and repopulating the Maker Heights project, teaching with Permaculture Kernow in our local schools and preschools and volunteering for The Peninsula Trust.

I work very, very hard to achieve positive results in everything I do and more than anything I respect and value our close communities and the preservation of our wonderful natural environment. I would love your support to really help Torpoint at this time in history. I am happy to listen to the views of local residents, attend council meetings and take your concerns to Cornwall Council helping to tackle the problems of housing, environmental issues, dental and healthcare services, social and wellbeing, The Tamar crossings, the high street, parking and youth and children’s services and many more.

I really hope to achieve the best positive outcomes wherever I can for this very special part of Cornwall.
