Des Waters is a retired Environmental Health Officer who moved to Woodbridge in 2022 to join his wider family.
Full statement
He is a graduate of Leicester University and has a Masters in Environmental Science. He worked for a number of London Boroughs and has managed a wide range of local environmental services from parks and open spaces through to highways and parking, winning awards for the best such services.
Des's priorities for Woodbridge: - I know how to get things done in Councils and I will campaign to improve public spaces. - Pollution of the River Deben is a concern to us all. I wll continue to work with our MP and other Labour councillors to improve water quality. - I will ensure there is proper consultation for housing developemtns alongside the right investment in local facilities if they go ahead - I will highlight the cost of living pressures faced by residents in the countryside.
