Full statement
With a successful career in business, he will bring his skills to public service and try to deal with the issues affecting Vincent Square.
Born in Lancaster to Spanish parents, Luis grew up traveling between the UK and Spain. He is deeply connected to both nations. His family benefited from Spain’s transition to democracy, freedom of speech and a market-led economy after the Franco era. Moving to London in his teenage years he’s seen how London is a vibrant cultural centre and looks to help preserve its place as one of the best cities in the world! But he also sees the tough times ahead.
Vincent Square has seen: ● Rising anti-social behavior ● Increased street crime ● A growing homelessness crisis
So, with a proven background in business management and finance he’s ready to bring his skills to help tackle these problems and create sustainable solutions while ensuring the safety of the community.
Luis’s vision includes: ● Collaborating with police, residents, and local organizations to create safer streets. ● Advocating for housing-first policies and mental health support to tackle homelessness. ● Strengthening community spirit through arts, sports, and cultural initiatives.
Luis Garcia is committed to creating opportunities for everyone in Vincent Square and he hopes that together, we can build a safer, stronger, and happier community.
