With Whitstable as his home for nearly 20 years, Stuart was one of the pioneers of the Green Party citizen science water-testing programme and the campaign against local sewage pollution.

Stuart also fights against excessive luxury housing development in the area and is a member of the Save Brooklands Farmland campaign.
“I have no hesitation in endorsing Stuart as our candidate for this by-election to work alongside me. He has been a hard working member of the party for several years and is passionate about Whitstable. I know that he would relish representing you and pushing for a better, Greener approach to planning in the district,” said Green Party Councillor and co-leader, Clare Turnbull.
