I’ve been a trustee of Llanarthne village hall for over four years, working with the committee and the local residents to organise events to bring people together and to create a real sense of community. It is through this work, and my passion for our special corner of Carmarthenshire and the people that live in our communities that has led me to put my name forward as your County Councillor. I hope you will support me as your candidate and give me the opportunity to support and help you with any local issues as well as making where we live a better place for everybody, representing the best interest of all residents. My priorities are: 1. To support our communities to make sure we all have a safe and healthy place to live and work, in partnership with various local initiatives such as the road safety campaigns and the crime prevention programmes. 2. To nurture and grow the role of the Village Halls we have in our communities and to explore further the extensive economic and social benefits they bring to our rural community life. 3. Ensuring our communities are sustainable for the future- supporting local businesses and initiatives and creating opportunities for young people to work and live in their area.
