Statement to voters
I have lived in the south of Lincolnshire for just about 7 years now - during my time here I have watched the quality of public services, including my own education, and infrastructure deteriorate under both Tory and now Labour governments.
Full statement
Everyone that I know is fed up of it, and they want to lend their vote to an alternative, and that's me 👋
Unlike Labour, the Tories, or Reform the Green party doesn't take any big donations from the rich and powerful:
That means I'm ready to say no to greedy new-build developers who risk worsening flooding, but say yes to building affordable housing that undercuts the big corporate landlords but fits in with our beautiful towns and villages and gives young families a place where they can afford to live and work. We can build communities again while keeping our green spaces green, even if it means landlords take a little less money...
That means I'm ready to champion improving public transport, keeping fares low, pushing for free busses for young and elderly people, and improving frequency and reliability - especially when connecting with railway services - even if that means private bus operators make a little less money...
It means pushing for an insulation scheme to keep you warm in the winter, and cut your bills by up to £700 while also cutting carbon emissions, even if that means energy companies make a little less money...
And that means supporting local farmers, businesses, and community projects to make sure our economy is ran by local people, for local people, rather than at the whim of the international markets which have shot prices up to all time highs...
The other candidates don't have your interests at heart - only the interests of the people paying their bosses' paycheques. You can see that every day with the craters in our roads, rising class sizes, and our crippled public services, all the while the mega-rich get even wealthier. Reform - who are funded by private health companies and multi-millionaire landlords will not change a thing, their nostalgia for the past doesn't offer a vision for a better future - that's being put on show for all of us in America right now as inflation skyrockets yet again and politics becomes even more devisive.
If I am elected as your councillor I promise I will fight for real change, I will always listen to you and hear out your ideas and your business' plans, but more importantly I will never give in to the wants of big business and the Westminster elite, I will always make sure that Lincolnshire gets what is best for Lincolnshire: Lower prices, reliable services, and a safer and greener environment.
