Statement to voters

I’m honoured to stand and represent our local community.

Full statement

I’m a Civil Engineer at the University of Bath, and I’ve worked within large budgets and on complex structures, so I’m well equipped to properly scrutinise council spending, and locate waste. I’m experienced in delivering improvements & change in our community from running a local community group.
As a homeowner with family priorities, I personally feel the real pressures on Bath’s streets, with poor local services and the rising cost of living, so I know how you feel.

My Priorities:

Infrastructure first: Prioritise roads, drainage, buses, GP clinics and school places before allowing more residents. Growth should follow capacity, not lead it.

Make our budget work for residents and businesses: Stop vanity schemes; put residents and local businesses first.

Let’s do Student housing right: Appropriate, well-located accommodation outside family areas, engage with residents and work with the University to achieve this.

Bring back Safe streets: A proper grip on anti-social behaviour, shoplifting and repeat offenders, with visible enforcement and consequences.

Why Reform?

The Lib Dems have failed Bath with inadequate, crumbling facilities, excessive congestion & people’s priorities ignored.

I will hold the council to account on your behalf, and keep you fully informed.

Do you believe things should be better in Bath, or that improvements are possible? We believe things could be so much better.

The council focus too much on harmful road changes, and too little on needed repairs. We will focus on road repairs as a priority.

Re-electing the same Lib Dems will change nothing and decline will continue. But together, we can improve our council to benefit ALL of the residents of Widcombe and Lyncombe.
