COMMUNITY - Help make Bedlington a thriving, well-connected community where people can live, work, and enjoy life. Ensure residents can travel safely on clean, well-maintained paths and roads and ensure Bedlington is never forgotten.

COUNTY - Work in helping Northumberland to continue to be the great county it is.

In detail

FAMILY & HOME
1. Ensure council services are maintained at appropriate levels.
2. Work with our PCC to increase the frequency and presence uniformed police patrols.
3. Help residents with the problem of anti-social behaviour. Bring youth facilities to Bedlington to assist in addressing anti social behaviour.
4. Implement a transparent and equitable social housing allocation. Build more social housing on brownfield sites!

COMMUNITY
1. Clean, fix and repair our footpaths and roads. Reduce speed bumps on A class roads.
2. Increase the number of dropped kerbs to help those less able to move about.
3. Increase the number of litter and waste bins.
4. Increase the number of bicycle locking points.
5. Assist new businesses to move into Bedlington. Bring a drive thru next to Aldi on wasteland next to Schalksmule Road!
6. Improve our community’s knowledge of what we already have and our rich history.
7. Restore the market and bring a fun filled Christmas Market to Bedlington with local food and drink.
8. Support major town events

COUNTY
1. Prevent wasteful projects and maintain the pursuit of better value for money.
2. Support smarter processes within the council.
3. Help schools to maintain and improve their standards and offerings. Facilitate discussions between Universities and Academies to bring back A Level computing!
4. Scale back net zero and “climate change” action as far as legally possible. Retain as much agriculture land as possible!
5. Ensure changes are backed by proper research and data.
6. Eliminate all DEI policies within the NCC.
7. Increase funding for our parks and the environment.
8. Improve and increase adult education facilities.
9. Promote and assist agricultural apprenticeships.
10. Improve our council’s communications following bereavements.
