I am standing in the Barnstaple North ward for Reform UK at the forthcoming Devon County Council elections, to be held on May 1, 2025.

Currently living and was until recently working as a postman in Barnstaple, a 65-year-old father of five, and grandfather of five, married to a theatre nurse working at North Devon District Hospital.
I am widely travelled. Ran a food production business in the Philippines, spent many years in casino security, safety and surveillance industry in many countries and continents around the world. I have been a publican, a distribution manager and in my early years a trainee interior designer.
I have been and still am involved in many Christian ministries in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
“Under various political regimes around the world I have seen how freedoms are eroded and how challenging it is to win them back, so I want to represent the community and help return those freedoms.
“I have never been actively engaged in politics and was never a member of any party, until recently. But I am watching and seeing the future for our generations slipping away while this beautiful and amazing country gets systematically dismantled by political professionals.
“So I’m standing, to represent the old core values of family and a close-knit community which I grew up with. It was a society of respect and tolerance – the same starting point we need to rebuild everything from.
“I believe integrity, openness and accountability are core requirements for our representatives. Alongside the desire to serve rather than be served, those all appear to be lacking among many of our self serving career politicians.
