Peter Is a chartered surveyor (retired) and adviser on rural policy. He was a parish councillor in Great Shelford before election to South Cambs District Council in 2018. He is a longstanding member of the Green Liberal Democrats and an active member of local green groups. He was Chair of the South Cambs DC planning committee before becoming chair of the Council in 2023.
