Statement to voters

I am passionate about preserving our countryside and cultural heritage, as well as helping people feel valued in their local area and their country.

Full statement

I have worked in a variety of sectors throughout the course of my career. I am a qualified occupational therapist, and mediator and conflict coach.

I have spent the last few years in various capacities as an occupational therapist, working in the employability sector, supporting people who struggle with mental health at work, as well as helping people find employment. I feel strongly about helping people find their vocation, and one of the best ways I can do that is to help create an environment we can all be proud of and want to preserve.

With this in mind, it is important to know what I stand for and what action i would be taking were i to be elected.
If elected I would:
Protect our countryside: This is our heritage and needs to be respected. No unnecessary house building, wind turbines or battery storage on green land.

Improving our towns: All new homes to be built in the traditional style of the local area and the restoration of town centers with beautiful buildings. Local people to be given priority for homes.

Preserving our roads: No 15 minute neighborhoods, and the fixing of potholes with pitch coating for long lasting repairs. Our roads currently look like a concrete jigsaw, and a bit of long term planning would be introduced. Northumberland deserves better than short term, patch up jobs that worsens the problem over time.

Public services: Libraries and youth centers to be prioritized, street lighting to be restored from LEDs to human friendly orange-yellow sodium lamps.

Education: Supporting traditional family values, with no transgender propaganda or sexually explicit material in schools or libraries, and facilitating the opening of technical, vocational, grammar and special schools.

I would be delighted to discuss any of the above in greater detail. I would be even more delighted, and privileged, if you voted for the Heritage Party on May 1st 2025!
