Statement to voters

I'm Victoria but most call me 'Tory'.

Full statement

I am standing in the West Northants Council elections on May 1st for Middleton Cheney and surrounding villages - why? Because I care deeply about where we live, the complex challenges our communities are facing and I believe everyone deserves to be heard. I am not here to waste time, I am here to roll up my sleeves and get things done!

I made Northamptonshire my home back in 2011 with my Son and Daughter. My early life was shaped by constant change attending 13 schools, this taught me the value of stability and how vital education is in shaping futures. I am in the final weeks of a part time Law Degree which I have achieved whilst working full time, I am no stranger to hard work.

I have worked since I was 14, starting out cleaning timeshares and eventually founding my own cleaning business to support my young family at the time, my life since then has been challenging, varied and hands-on. I have worked in construction, the EV and energy sectors, in addition to many years in facilities and business transformation. I consider myself a business growth specialist and am also proud to be a Modern Celebrant. Boots on the ground is where I feel most at home.

I am a Mum, a wife, mature student, good neighbour and critical friend. My parents taught me the importance of service - my late Father as a Youth Worker re training and practicing as a Lawyer later in his career. My Mum, devoted her entire career to the NHS eventually retiring as a Health Visitor. It pains me to see the state of both our Judicial system and NHS - we MUST have change.

I believe in fairness, fighting for every child and young persons futures and in ensuring that families can receive the services they pay greatly for whilst receiving less and less. The cost of living is crippling and we need urgent action to ensure our most vulnerable members of society are better supported and protected. This includes more for our pensioners, without them, none of us would be here! They need us to step up and do better - I will do that if I am elected. How, by ensuring they can access vital services more easily as they are becoming increasingly inaccessible on account of the up tick and obsessive nature of technology. For them, the change has been too much too soon.

If you want someone who listens , cares and acts with integrity then I would be proud to have your vote. Let's make a difference together, let's be the change you want to see .
