With over 20 years of experience in the nursing and education I am committed empowering individuals and advocating for those in need.

I have had the pleasure of living in Bacup since 2013, where my wife Mary – also a nurse – and I have built our life together and raised our two wonderful children. Our family is rounded out by three energetic Border Collies who keep us active and engaged.

I believe in the importance of community and the power of working together to create a brighter future for all.

As I run for County Council for Rossendale East. I bring my passion for healthcare, education and commitment to service, with a deep understanding of the challenges we face in Rossendale East.

Living in Bacup since 2013 has given me invaluable insight into our community’s unique challenges and opportunities. I am dedicated to acting in the best interests of all residents, championing issues that matter most to you, from healthcare, commerce, and education to local development.

My key priorities and commitment to Rossendale East are....

•Fight the controversial development of the waste transfer station in Rossendale.

•Oppose the over-development of Rossendale East and the destruction of our green belt and green spaces.

•Reinstate Bacup Market and support traders to return to the town centre and high streets of Rossendale East

•Ensure Rossendale East receives the flood defences it needs and the preparations to prevent flooding, drain clearing, silt removal.

•Continue the regeneration of our town centre and high streets, preserving the beauty, historical and architectural significance of Rossendale East

•Advocate for the repair and reconditioning of our highways infrastructure, with thoughtful impact on congestion.

•Ensure appropriate and proportionate winter gritting to keep Bacup, Stacksteads, and Weir moving, and businesses working during snow fall.
