Christine Roberts's policies
Statement to voters
I have a deep-rooted connection to Shropshire through my husband and his family, who have lived here for generations.
Full statement
In 2018, after retiring from the Metropolitan Police following 25 years of service, I moved to the county to support my husband’s elderly parents.
During my policing career, I primarily served as a Detective, specialising in homicide and serious sexual offences. This work demanded exceptional written and verbal communication, as well as strong presentation skills, qualities I developed through close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders and members of the public in highly sensitive, high-pressure environments.
My lifelong commitment to public service, combined with strong family ties to the area, has given me both the passion and the grounding to stand as a candidate. I am ready once again to step forward, be counted, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of local people.
