Statement to voters
Andrew O’Neil PhD is the Reform UK candidate for the Fletton & Woodston by-election.
Full statement
He settled in Fletton ten years ago and has since raised his young family there. Andrew first became formally involved in community matters when, concerned by rising crime, he set up the Neighbourhood Watch Group for Old Fletton, a group for which he now acts as Coordinator. Andrew is seeking election as a Peterborough city councillor to further his work in reducing crime, to improve local services, and to establish initiatives to help business owners and the self-employed.
Andrew is a pharmacist by profession obtaining his doctorate at the University of London. Since then he has undertaken research work for a variety of commercial companies and academic bodies and has lectured in pharmacy at a number of UK universities. Currently, Andrew still undertakes academic research and is self-employed as a scientific consultant. Locally he has worked part-time as a community pharmacist with a particular concern for drug addiction and its connection to crime.
Andrew has a strong sense of community, understands the issues impacting his fellow residents, and has a firm belief that the positive changes we need locally and nationally can be achieved only with Reform UK.
