Michelle has lived in Maidstone for 27 years.

She has 2 children who both attend a local primary school within North Ward.

First elected to the council in May 2016. Michelle sits on the Democracy & General Purposes Committee. She has previously sat on Planning, Heritage & Culture, Joint Transportation Committees and has been a substitute member of Policy & Resources and Strategic Planning & Infrastructure Committees which has given her a broad knowledge and experience of the functions and workings of Maidstone Borough Council.

Michelle most enjoys working with the community in North Ward and protecting the local environmental and green spaces for future generations. She has a keen interest in sports, music, art, local heritage, and walking. Michelle believes that it is important to preserve & support these to ensure they are available and affordable to all residents.

During the Covid-19 lockdown Michelle has been working with local agencies and independently to support vulnerable families.

Michelle has been working in local government for 12 years and currently in Early Years Funding & Data Analysis. In the past she has been governor of a local infant school and has worked with the PTA. She volunteered with the NCT (a national childbirth and parenting charity) for 8 years.
