Statement to voters
At the age of 16 I joined the Young Conservatives. In 2017, after 50 years of being a member, I resigned from the Conservative Party. The political party I joined as a youngster, and supported throughout my life, no longer exists.
Here in Salisbury, I have found my new political home in the Liberal Democrats. They seek to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society, in which they seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community.
