Statement to voters

While the other candidates live in Penkridge, Perton, and Brewood – I’m proud to call this my home.

Full statement

On 26th June, you have the chance to vote for someone who actually lives locally – someone who understands our area, walks our streets, and shares your daily concerns.

This election isn’t about national politics. It’s about who knows our community best – and who will be here after election day to stand up for you.

You deserve a local representative who’s truly there for you and your neighbours – someone who understands our community and stands up for it. I believe I can be that person.

Great Wyrley is my home. I went to Moat Hall Primary School, attended St Mark’s Church, and earned my Bronze, Silver, and Gold Scout Awards with 1st Great Wyrley Scouts. In 2015, I had the honour of being Carnival King at what remains my favourite event of the year – the Great Wyrley Carnival.

After leaving sixth form, I began working in Birmingham supporting small and medium-sized businesses as they face financial challenges. This gives me a good understanding of the pressures local businesses deal with every day.

A good councillor should be your first point of contact when something isn’t right – someone you know, someone you trust, and someone who truly gets it. As I’ve grown up here and continue to live here, I understand the challenges we face – and I’m ready to act.

I won’t just be your councillor; I’ll be your neighbour, your advocate, and someone you can rely on when it matters most. As someone who lives in and commutes from Great Wyrley every day, I see first-hand the issues affecting our community – from overdevelopment and rising living costs to neglected public spaces and services.

I’ll oppose inappropriate housing developments that put even more pressure on our already stretched roads, schools, and GP surgeries. I’ll push to get the second car park at Landywood Station completed, and campaign for investment in our playgrounds and public spaces – especially those that have been overlooked for too long.

This by-election isn’t about national headlines – it’s about local action. It’s about choosing someone who knows Great Wyrley and is ready to get things done for our village.

I believe I can make a real, positive difference for our community – but I can’t do it without your support.
