Martin Robinson's policies
Statement to voters
It has been my honour to serve the residents of St Olaves & Tollgate as County Councillor since the by election last July 4th 2025.
Full statement
During the past nine months I have sought to:
- Reply to every resident enquiry inside 8-hours.
- Advocate energetically for residents, on issues such as Klondyke resurfacing, Tollgate hedge/Dutch kerbs, Sandlands / David Lloyd on-street parking.
- Pushed SCC Officers, to fix potholes, pollard trees...
If elected I will focus on these things:
- Continuing to do all of the above.
- Challenge any attempt to load any of the existing Suffolk County Council debt (£756million) onto the residents of the to-be-formed West Suffolk Unitary Authority (this change takes effect from May 2027.)
- Lobby to change the way Highways/Planning is done, to reduce the ridiculous cost when introducing Traffic Regulation Orders, to paint lines etc. (Typically the cost breaks down; £200 for materials, £800 for labour, £5,000 for lawyers!)
Promoted by Martin Robinson, on behalf of Martin Robinson at Reform UK, Millbank Tower, 21-24 Millbank, London, SW1P 4QP
